Super Metroid!

Hey team, so I recently did a dream project for senior studio, a poster for one of my favorite games ever- Super Metroid!
Can you spot the Metroid?

And here's a Japanese version as well!

Hope you guys like it, setting type in Japanese is apparently a lot harder than it sounds.
-See you soon!

Success!

Hey guys, remember this piece?

Well around February, my teachers collected a bunch of work from a bunch of students here to submit to the Society of Illustrators student competition in New York and out of over 8,000 or so submissions from all over the country, they picked four pieces from CCS students, including me! Its a super duper honor to have my piece go up with such other talented people, including my fellow students/friends/all-around-good-people Meredith, Millie, and Phil!

So, I had to frame the piece and it was a grand-ole time trying to find a 20"x27" frame and a place to cut glass, so after three trips to Michaels and four or five cuts on my hands, here she is, ready to go to New York!
I might have gotten some blood on the back of the matte... that just adds to the piece though, right?

Juice

So, about seven weeks ago, my dear girlfriend was sick with a cold. Me, being the knight in shining armor that I am, bought her some orange juice and I left on my nightstand for her while she slept. She never finished it, and I never bothered moving it and a few nights ago I noticed that some cool stuff started happening. So, here's what happens when you don't move a bottle of orange juice for seven weeks and let it sit in the sun:

That label that says "no pulp" seems pretty misleading, I figure if I wait long enough, it'll just revert back to an orange altogether.

-Happy trails,

Alrighty

Hey gang, here's a project I've started a few weeks ago in my senior studio, its my own personal rolling roadshow, here's the first two movies:

These are two movies I really love. I grew up with Charlie Chaplin and only recently found Buster Keaton but I love both of them and their movies.
Hope you guys like em! I got a bunch more stuff on the way!

Esben and the Witch

Hey team, here's my first entry to this years Children's Book Illustration show at the Detroit Medical Center. I was fortunate enough to get two pieces into the show last year and have the opportunity again this year. This first one is based on the old story "Esben and the Witch". Theres also a great band by that name as well!

Take care gang,

A Flyer!

So my illustration department is having a student meeting this Thursday and my good friend asked me to design the flyer, so here is the fruits of my painstaking labors (about 30 minutes):

(Free food always seems to be the biggest draw of these meetings)
(Also, I guess my love for Jimmy Johns shined through on this one)

We then proceeded to cover every wall with them:
Not like there's anything else to hang up I guess.

-See ya guys!

The Dream Team

So, whose the greatest sports team ever assembled? The 1992 Dream Team of course! I thought it'd be a lot of fun to start a series based on famous sports teams, wether they be events or teams or anything else, so here's the first. It was a ton of fun to work on, I hope you guys like it!

Thanks dudes!

The Resurrection

Hey team, so one of the best bands of all time has recently reunited: The Stone Roses. And their first shows back together are three massive nights in a row this summer in Manchester. Here's a little something I put together in hopes of maybe going... after all the first night is my birthday!

Oh and here's something if you haven't had the pleasure of hearing them

Thanks guys!
